Prof. Shuying Sean Li, Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the University of Alberta, Canada, is currently the Distinguished Professor of Faculty of Education and Director of Institute of Education Research (IER), Doctoral Supervisor at Shenzhen University. He is Visiting Professor at Edge Hill University, UK. Prof. Li has been engaged in teaching, research and administrative work in eight universities at home and abroad, including the University of Alberta, Hong Kong University of Education, Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Macau, Dongguan City University, Shenzhen University, Hunan International Economics University (Laureate) and Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. He has served as vice president or president of three of them.
Prof. Li has presided over 30 major scientific research projects at home and abroad, with a total project funding of more than 30 million RMB. He has published dozens of high impact books and research papers. With 35 years of experience in universities and enterprises, and visiting experience to more than 50 countries and regions, he has rich experience in interdisciplinary, cross-cultural, and inter-regional teaching, scientific research, university administration, and talent development. Prof. Li is a leader and promoter of phenomenological pedagogy, as well as a developer and promoter of the classroom learning research model, and has conducted in-depth research in the wider domain of basic education, vocational education and higher education.
