I. Introduction
As a strategic pillar of China’s endeavor to build a strong education nation and a world-class hub for talent and innovation, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) shoulders the important mission to explore new pathways for regional collaborative development in education and advancing the opening-up in the education sector.
To facilitate in-depth exchanges among emerging scholars, the Faculty of Education at Shenzhen University will host the First Greater Bay Area Doctoral Student Conference on Collaborative Innovation in Education on June 27, 2026 (Saturday). Centered on doctoral students as the core participants, the conference aims to promote cross-regional, interdisciplinary, and cross-sector collaboration, stimulate new insights into the essence and value of education, and provide a platform for young GBA scholars to share their research visions and advance their academic careers.
II. Conference Themes
Under the conference theme “Collaborative innovation and High-Quality Development of Education in the Greater Bay Area under the Strategy to Build a Strong Education Nation,” relevant topics of interest include but are not limited to:
1.Educational innovation and leadership development
2.High-quality education development and cultivation of top-tier innovative talents
3.Practices and ethical governance of digital technology-enabled educational innovation
4.Education policy reform and equity in the GBA
5.Industry-university integration and collaborative institutional innovation in the GBA
6.Optimizing education resource allocation and institutional innovation amid demographic shifts

IV. Registration and Submission
Participants: University faculty, doctoral and master’s students in education and related fields, in-service school teachers, education practitioners, and researchers interested in education are welcome to attend.
Call for Papers – Target Contributors:
Primary: Doctoral students in education or related disciplines from GBA universities and research institutions in the GBA.
Open to: Doctoral students in education or related disciplines from universities across China.
Submission Requirements:
Originality: Submitted papers must be original academic work led or substantially completed by the submitter. For co-authored work, the abstract document shall clearly indicate the supervisor’s role and the nature of collaboration, along with the submitter’s specific contribution percentage.
Abstract: Approx. 500 words (excluding references). The abstract should include research background, research methods, key findings, conclusions, and implications.

All participants must scan the QR code below to complete registration.

Those who submit an abstract shall upload it in the form of Word document. File naming format: University_Author Name_Paper Title (e.g., Shenzhen University_Zhang San_Pathways for Industry-Education Integration in GBA Vocational Education).
Acceptance notifications will be sent via email by the end of May 2026.

Fees: Conference attendance is free of charge, however, participants shall bear their own expenses for accommodation, meals, and round-trip travel to the venue.
